Where are they? Can't they come to our aid?

Chewbacca Sun 22-Mar-20 20:28:26

Well, as Ann Widdicombe is 72, she's probably doing what she's supposed to be doing and is self isolating. No idea what Farage is doing and, frankly, I couldn't care less.

Greymar stop it - you are being naughty as you well know. She’s self isolating and he’s run away.Enjoy their absence whilst you can ?

I really don't know why I thought about them. Clearly having some sort of meltdown.

GagaJo Mon 23-Mar-20 08:18:05

I thought a few days he was noticeable by his absence. But if there ever was a coward, it's him.

suziewoozie Mon 23-Mar-20 08:20:38

It’s interesting isn’t it how he’s disappeared ? Cometh the hour, disappeareth the coward. The post virus world of heroes and villains is going to be interesting

Whitewavemark2 Mon 23-Mar-20 08:30:42

Make the most of their absence.

Once it is all over they will be back blaming the EU or China or some other.

Yet more reason for us to be Little England they will declare??

BlueBelle Mon 23-Mar-20 08:41:21

They ve eloped ???

Jomarie Mon 23-Mar-20 09:16:42

Thanks BlueBelle that made me chuckle - no mean feat at this point in time smile

J52 Mon 23-Mar-20 09:26:07

Be thankful they’re not in charge! ?

GagaJo Mon 23-Mar-20 09:32:56

OMG yes, J52. So very, very true. At least Bumble has the wrath of DC behind him, even if DC DID want to just let all us oldies die.

JenniferEccles Mon 23-Mar-20 12:57:48

What exactly do you expect either of them to do or say?

I imagine they are getting on with their respective lives and trying to stay healthy like the rest of us.

SirChenjin Mon 23-Mar-20 13:06:31

They’re probably holed up in a Spoons somewhere with Tim Martin, knocking back English beer, singing ‘there’ll be blue birds over the white cliffs of Dover’ and bemoaning these nasty foreigners who brought it to the UK shores (wouldn’t have happened if we’d left the EU).

lemongrove Mon 23-Mar-20 13:17:48

They really probably aren’t SirC !
Are you extra bored today Greymar??

Greymar Mon 23-Mar-20 13:21:00

Well they seemed to have an awful lot to say at one time and many loyal followers. They could pop back with some sage advice.

I am a bit bored thanks for your concern but luckily I am working on a gardening project this afternoon.

SirChenjin Mon 23-Mar-20 13:30:55

No you’re right lemon - ‘there’ll always be an England” is more ‘them’.

I agree Greymar - they had so much to say recently that you’d have thought they’d have popped up somewhere along the line with more pearls of wisdom and little flags.

lemongrove Mon 23-Mar-20 13:33:40

Wasn’t thinking of a song SirC was thinking of a ‘Spoons’
Which was unlikely given that they are not short of a bob or two.

SirChenjin Mon 23-Mar-20 13:38:52

Au contraire - supporting a Tim Martin establishment is right up their street ???????

varian Thu 02-Apr-20 20:17:41

In November 2017 said that the World Health Organisation was just a club for "clever people" who want to "bully" people after they tweeted about the harmful effects of tobacco smoke

Why on earth was this ignoramus ever given so many opportunities to spout his poisonous nonsense?

Bridgeit Thu 02-Apr-20 20:33:15

Where are they, ?probably counting the fees for their speeches across the Country.
Can’t they come to our aid ? ummm, let’s hope not , why would we want to make a bad situation worse !

vegansrock Thu 02-Apr-20 20:50:27

Wasn’t he on This Morning, or some such recently giving his opinion on the Coronavirus as if he was some kind of expert. If he’s any sense he will be in Germany where there is much better health care. He’s got lots of Brexit Party dosh to spend.

GagaJo Thu 02-Apr-20 20:58:52

lemongrove. Fiddy is partial to a free Spoons pint or two.

Aren't they both utterly irrelevant now? One issue sandwich boards.

GagaJo Fri 03-Apr-20 09:35:24

Yes, my reply was only in response to lemongroves comments really. No real relevance to anything else.
