Marshall Mathers---Eminem is the best for his lyrics. They tell a story ( in between the swearing ) Very down to earth
But he doesn't necessarily sing/ rap about anything except life in general.

Brown sugar and Brown Girl In The Ring and many others are still played today, so am presuming nobody either notices them or thinks it was a different era ( which it was.)

Back then the majority of everything in western countries was aimed at white people and catered to their tastes.

Most people are not against censorship or book burning or otherwise completely banning past media that may have negative connotations.

However, individual platforms have the right to not give it air time or profit in any way from it.

I have known for quite sometime that normalising this sort of thing is a big part of the problem.

I never hated my old nan for saying horribly racist things and being part of a generation and area where that was "normal" but I did choose to not give her any attention for it and tell her I'd rather she didn't say that, now let's change the subject.

That's me setting a personal boundary about what I personally find acceptable. Any media outlet, company, organisation, social media platform etc has the right to set bou diaries on what they deem acceptable.

Saying that when there is such a vast quantity of music available, I don't understand the logic of "I must love, listen to, and defend this particular song, and it must be played on the radio and TV for my enjoyment" to everyone when you can just listen to it, in your own home, whenever you wish anyway.
