This has been largely ignored by the media (or I could have just missed it)

Jackie Gardiner Conservative wins with 51% of the vote.

It was a low turn out though 22%

Surely most council seat by-elections are ignored by the national media, particularly on the day of a 'fiscal event'.

I am well and truly losing my marbles, it came up on my news feed, and I mistakenly thought it was a parliamentary by-election.
