What do you think?

Well, I think that 9 of them were DUP or similar, weren't they? So they can't lose the whip!

However, I think that the 22 tories who voted against it should definitely lose the whip. The lunatic fringe of the ERG (plus Johnson) needs to be eliminated.

If it was a free vote probable not (unless there is a precedent)

If it was a three line whip then in my opinion they should have the whip removed.

Sorry that was regarding the Conservatives.

Was it a free vote?

Johnson sacked some very competent MPs but these ERG backbenchers are a pain in Sunak's derriere and it would advantage Labour for him to keep them on!

Does anyone know, was it a free vote?

It was a three line whip, so Sunak should be disciplining those who went against it (including Johnson and Truss), in the same way as Johnson removed the whip from some very competent and decent Tory MPs.

Ah thank you HPQ - I thought it was. Only just noticed your post. And agreed, he should.
