You can browse millions of free images on the 25 sites in the this list. (or download or copy them for your own projects - use as you like.) I have just spent longer than I meant to just looking at the images on the Moma site.

There's something for everyone! I liked the Japanese woodcuts on the Raw Pixel site - examples of paring down to the minimum, and how less is more.
