you could ring lost glasses like you can your mobile phone.

Heather Wed 27-Jul-11 17:41:54

try looking on your head?

hang on, how would that work?

Try feeling on your head!

Notsogrand Wed 27-Jul-11 17:43:32

very that is a totally brilliant idea! Surely it's possible with a little microchip in the frame?
Who can we send the idea to? Branson? Sugar? The inventor guy who just won The Apprentice? One of the Dragons?
Seriously, it is a brilliant idea.

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 17:47:18

Lakeland?

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 17:48:03

Look Notso - I THOUGHT OF IT.

wink

Notsogrand Wed 27-Jul-11 18:07:16

Absobloominlutely you thought of it! Just don't forget who set you on the road to fame and riches when it becomes 'the next big thing'
One of my daughters is in PR. Another can set up your web-site. The third can advise on a business strategy. What will you call it?

twizzle Wed 27-Jul-11 18:08:51

The Jangly

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 18:09:12

Well, the PR one can think of that can't she? What you think I'm paying for?!

Notsogrand Wed 27-Jul-11 18:11:33

Fair enough. Will consult and get back to you.
Quite like The Jangly

grannyactivist Wed 27-Jul-11 18:14:45

Love the idea of a jangly, will it help me to find the two phones I've mislaid in the house during the last couple of years? I know they're here somewhere!

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 18:16:52

I've lost a bra.

Its really lost.

Notsogrand Wed 27-Jul-11 18:19:08

To incorporate the sound your lost glasses will make when you phone them, together with a nod towards the inventor then I propose The Jingle Jangle.

Notsogrand Wed 27-Jul-11 18:20:35

Or if a similar microchip was fitted into lost bras, it could be called The Dingle Dangle Jingle Jangle grin

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 20:59:09

Look.

Geraldine's DH talking about inventing things.

I think.

Well I'm pretty sure its G's hubby. I think that's what he is talking about.

I used to have a thing to put on a key ring that you could whistle for, only I seem to have lost it.

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 21:10:03

Sigh! [sceptic]

veryordinaryjangly Wed 27-Jul-11 21:10:48

no. not septic.

hmm

glassortwo Thu 28-Jul-11 08:15:23

Brilliant idea jangly and notso you could not find a better name*The Jingle Jangle * grin

veryordinaryjangly Thu 28-Jul-11 09:30:10

It will have to cheap if we're going to cover every twenty-five quid pair of Specsavers' finest.

glassortwo Thu 28-Jul-11 10:20:13

What about the cheap pound shop glasses jangly do you think we could stretch to them?

glassortwo Thu 28-Jul-11 10:26:19

I have had an idea (need a light bulb smiley) how about a small device that slides onto your glasses so you would only need one, could be used on all glasses/sun glasses so wouldnt bump the price of glasses up ......... just thought you wouldnt be able to find your other pair of glasses to swop!

Joan Thu 28-Jul-11 12:30:30

To find something lost, lose something else, then when you're looking for it (which admittedly is hard when you've lost your glasses) you'll find the previous thing you've lost. Of course, Sod's law means that you have probably already replaced the previously lost thing when you find it, and by now you've lost summat else..............perhaps I'd better think it out again/

raggygranny Thu 28-Jul-11 15:00:37

jangly I would certainly order one for my DH! If I had £1 for every time I hear him say 'I can't find my glasses' I would be a very rich woman.
