moving ads

Sorry to be an old whinge , as I love Gransnet, but is there any way I can turn off the moving flickering flashing adverts , which affect my eyes so badly I have to leave the site . Worst at the moment are Monsoon and JD Williams which flicker from style to style over and over and over again. I can deal with ordinary ads and hit the X , but for these flashing ads I simply can't turn them off so simply leave the site altogether .

Have you got AdBlock installed? If not, do it :-)

I was getting fed up with them too, just installed AdBlock and they've gone. Thanks yggdrasil

AdBlock is not recommended by all - some see it as a security risk - worth googling first.

Google 'adblock' and download it. Had it for years without any trouble.
