Does anyone have any ideas on celebratory things to do (apart from eat and drink) at an 80th outdoor birthday party for a man. His ex wife is currently in hospital with pneumonia, so she won't be there this time (as she usually is at family functions). He has 4 grown up children, grandchildren and just born twin great grandchildren who will have their first public outing that day !

I think if he doesn’t want a party the “children” - whose birthday it isn’t - should simply be told he doesn’t want one so don’t do it..
I’m still fed up 20 years on from my children organising a wedding anniversary celebration for us.
They have assured me that they won’t do it again,

I agree if neither of you really want a party tell your kids you and dad are going out for a nice meal together to celebrate his birthday and they can each do what they would like with him, either together or individually and leave it to them
Not everyone is a big party person

Sublime Science gives science experiments.....aimed at children but from reading their Web site I'd imagine adults would enjoy it too.
Have a look at the Web Site where there is lots of information.

Anyway.....hope the Celebrations go well. flowerswinesunshine
