Hello all,

As the title says, reallly.

Starting to think she calls the shots hmm and Harry goes along with it.

Poor is not a word most people would attribute to Prince Harry!!!!!!

Greymar Fri 14-Feb-20 12:52:49

God, poor bloke.

He's not the only person to lose a parent at a very young age, or suffer from anxiety and other debilitating conditions through bereavement. Most of us seek help where we can, confide in those we trust and don't use it as money making exercise or a reason for public self pity.

The press are reporting they have closed their Buck House offices , if so they can’t be intending to carry out official
engagements here.

Greymar Fri 14-Feb-20 12:20:03

Can you point me in the direction of the " constant whining" please?

Jabberwok Fri 14-Feb-20 12:17:03

Using a dead parent to make mega bucks is hardly admirable, constantly whining about 'poor me' while at the same time being able to afford the best treatment that money can buy is completely tedious, wanting to be an ordinary guy? well there's a laugh!! An ordinary very rich guy, maybe! Not an ordinary guy living an ordinary life in an ordinary job, in an ordinary home! Not that sort of ordinary!!

I think the media are much to blame for the position that Harry and Meghan are now in. The epidemic reporting has been totally full of 'an anonymous source said' or 'a friend said' or 'it is believed'. Most of the reporting is made up so they can sell papers.

Of course Harry wants to protect his wife, especially after what happened to his mother. Should fake reporting cause Harry to lose anyone and everyone he gets close to? There is no reason to believe she is ruling the roost. What has Meghan ever done to demonstrate she is 'in charge'? They are just a young couple trying to make the best of their lives, without all the rubbish being written about them.

I wish them both well in their search for a happy life.

Gonegirl Tue 03-Dec-19 11:53:30

Anniebach. No shit Sherlock.

Anniebach Tue 03-Dec-19 11:05:14

Harry isn’t American

merlotgran Tue 03-Dec-19 10:47:45

A neat way of avoiding the Donald again. grin

Ninat474 Mon 02-Dec-19 23:07:56

For goodness sake get your own lives

Gonegirl Mon 02-Dec-19 22:58:29

She's American. Why should she suddenly stop talking like an American? confused

Anniebach Mon 02-Dec-19 22:04:03

They certainly seemed to want to be separate from the royal
family

Summerlove Mon 02-Dec-19 21:52:23

That’s how I would take it.

Pantglas2 Mon 02-Dec-19 21:21:17

The exact words were ‘the holidays’, so inclusive of all the religions in the world I imagine, leaving no one out.

Anniebach Mon 02-Dec-19 21:13:51

The only official holiday in December is Christmas

Summerlove Mon 02-Dec-19 21:11:41

Aren’t those enough? There is also Kwanzaa (Dec 26-Jan 1)

The Sussex Royal Instagram said something to the effect of “ festive holiday season”, I fail to see how that takes away from Christmas. Or Easter?

Pantglas2 Mon 02-Dec-19 21:07:00

I have no problem with happy Hanukkah or happy Diwali or whatever in any country - but let’s not diminish Christmas or Easter in a Christian country by substituting the word holidays. I may have got it wrong and she was simply referring to her own holidays?

Chewbacca Mon 02-Dec-19 21:04:40

The only religious festivals, occurring during December, that I could find are:

8th December is Bodhi Day (Buddhist)
22nd December is Winter Solstice (Druid)
23rd December is Hanukkah (Jewish)
24th/25th December is Christmas Day (Christian)
26th December is Zaratosht No Diso (Zoroastrian)
31st December is Omisoka (Japanese Buddhist)

Summerlove? confused

merlotgran Mon 02-Dec-19 20:58:24

Traditionally we've said Happy Christmas in Britain but the American Happy Holidays has been creeping in for years, especially on Christmas cards. I don't have a problem with it but I'll carry on wishing people a Happy Christmas. What they care to wish others is up to them.

Pantglas2 Mon 02-Dec-19 20:53:47

Really? That was the only mainstream one I found - please share?

Summerlove Mon 02-Dec-19 20:46:18

She might be Christian, but the U.K. is made up of people from many different religions.

Hanukkah isn’t the only other celebration in December.

Pantglas2 Mon 02-Dec-19 20:09:26

Apologies Summerlove - I thought she was Christian not Jewish.
