Jeans at Wimbledon

I see in the paper that Meghan is being criticised for wearing jeans when she went to watch Serena Williams playing tennis on Centre Court. Apparently such daring is a definite no-no.

I wonder if anyone told her beforehand.

In the photograph I saw I think she looks smarter than the people sitting beside her.

I’d never heard that one either annie

Iam if you like Sinatra, you’d probably like Rod Stewart’s Great American Songbook
This is one of my favourites m.youtube.com/watch?v=mtCwvHFOGLA

A beautiful rose, thank you ‘janeainsworth’, I thought I had bought every Sinatra record and CD, never heard that

janeainsworth, how did you do that?! What superb technical skills and how fabulous to have Sinatra singing to us. My Uncle used to "do" Sinatra, late at night when he'd had possibly a glass or two too many. My dad would play 'the drums' on the door, mum and her sister would swoon and be the background music/dancers. That generation born in the 1920's knew how to have a good time.

Is there an American rose ?

There certainly is anniebach, although it was bred in France and exported to the US where it became very popular.

here's Frank Sinatra singing about it

The film American Beauty was released in 1999.

Is there an American rose ?

SirChenjin Wed 10-Jul-19 19:57:32

Elton John could probably put that to music Iam grin

Lessismore Wed 10-Jul-19 19:51:26

Blimey, Iam, yours is more like a song.

Anniebach Wed 10-Jul-19 19:49:16

This is so like ‘the Diana Years ‘. ?

Baggs Wed 10-Jul-19 19:45:48

I'm loving the humorous posts responding to the absurd ??

Iam64 Wed 10-Jul-19 19:40:58

Lessismore - I'm keeping my fingers out my ears and I'll chant along with you, Megan is cool Megan is cool Megan is cool AND Harry loves her, hurrah for both of them and their baby Archie x

SirChenjin Wed 10-Jul-19 19:00:31

Good job you can’t hear the responses to that grin

Lessismore Wed 10-Jul-19 18:49:45

I'm going to put my fingers in my ears and say Megan is cool 3 times.

Anniebach Wed 10-Jul-19 18:43:41

I did not,

crystaltipps Wed 10-Jul-19 18:41:50

You implied it was because she was there people with tickets were denied seats.

Anniebach Wed 10-Jul-19 18:38:39

Has anyone said she ordered extra seats ?

crystaltipps Wed 10-Jul-19 18:32:57

What evidence do you have that she, personally, “ordered” extra seats? That she was smiling?

Anniebach Wed 10-Jul-19 18:25:03

Megan sat in the royal box last year, no empty seats ordered

Cherrytree59 Wed 10-Jul-19 18:16:15

MissA grin

Just before taking her seat Meghan had probably just fed and burped Archie.

Then Archie probably did
what babies the World over do when mum is about out, or in Meghans case catch the start of her friends match.....

'Puke' all over Mum

Not wanting to upset her friend,
Meghan just grabbed her spare Jeans and ran.
Thinking if no one is allowed
to takes photos,
Mil or Sil will never know.

They seem to be getting on just fine at a polo match.

crystaltipps Wed 10-Jul-19 18:10:29

Well that’s all right then. Let’s hope Megan is given a seat at centre court too.

Anniebach Wed 10-Jul-19 17:59:02

Kate will be in centre court in the royal box, she is patron of
Wimbledon, passed to her by the queen

Anniebach Wed 10-Jul-19 17:56:36

Nothing wrong with wearing jeans, she was in Court 1.

Crimplene skirt was uncalled for .
