I'm not sure where to post this.
I am Greatgran not a gran, and my MIL (who is a great great gran and getting in for 100) came to stay with us over Christmas and NY. She is showing the first stages of dementia but considering her age in amazing health.
Now she has gone back to the home, I notice my house stinks of urine. The sprays like Febreze only mask it for a few hours, though I have scrubbed the carpets and cleaned everywhere I can manage, the smell lingers. I am no spring chicken myself.
She didn't bring any incontinence products with her, and I'm sure the carers would have packed them if they thought they were needed, and no-one warned us that there was a problem. She didn't seem to 'leak' on chairs etc - but still the house smells.
