I was so saddened by the interview with harry and megan , why would two people who have got exactly what they wanted are happy to create such pain for others

Thanks Callistemon! Why Aurelia ? I think Spencer might well be in there though.

I love the Meghan Harry Harry saga. For real fans (or deranged /bored folk like me- I recommend one Lady Colin Campbell on you tube, she slags them off wonderfully every day!!! Addict!

That's exactly where I was going.
I didn't know what the Greek equivalent was

Calendargirl Mon 31-May-21 20:49:17

Elizabeth will be in there somewhere, or maybe Lillibet?

Philippa?

If I were in charge - I'd call the new thread simply 'Royal Chat'.
Then everyone can just chip in and not be accused of 'derailing' (yawn)

No, it has to be a thread about names for the new baby!

Anyone willing to put up a fiver for the winner?

No?

GNHQ?

I choose Aurelia

Liberty?

It was brutal theworriedwell , it seems no one knew the sex of
the child else Charles would have known !

Knowing something and having it written in a book for all the world to see is quite different. The motivation of someone saying it will also play a part, if someone is being spiteful and trying to alienate the child from that parent it won't just be a one off. Obviously we can have no idea if she did that but she shouldn't have put it in the book. It was a cheap shot.

Anniebach Mon 31-May-21 19:16:40

Yes Jabberwok, but to write it in a book when the child is 8
years old was cruel and I don’t believe she didn’t tell anyone in
the family the result of the scan

JaneJudge Mon 31-May-21 19:15:47

Me and my late sister were always told my dad needed a son, he remarried and had plenty of other daughters. I remember being pregnant after having my own daughter and his whole family saying I could never carry a son. I am am now surrounded by them grin

Jabberwok Mon 31-May-21 18:33:06

My son was the little boy my mother never had. I 've always known that she hoped I'd be a son to remind her of her dead husband, Instead she had a daughter! Was she disappointed? at the time possibly, but at no time was I ever made to feel inferior or unloved, in fact quite the opposite. I can totally understand how she felt, I might well have felt the same. Have I ever resented it? Not for a moment. Mind you she was pleased to see my son, and I was pleased for her. Parents can hope for a boy/girl and when they get the opposite love them just as much as the one desired and not cause any anguish to that child.
