A number of websites these days require one to complete a puzzle so as to prove to the satisfaction of the website that one is not a robot.
Sometimes a nonsense word drawn with distorted letters and one needs to key the text.
Sometimes clicking which picture or pictures or none contain a traffic light.
And so on.
Yesterday I got stuck with one from a well-known UK business which presented nine pictures of dogs and asked
Which of these dogs are smiling?
Readers are invited, as an exercise in humour, to make up puzzles that are quite simple in their stating but are essentially almost impossible for someone to prove to the satisfaction of a website that she or he is not a robot.
The stating may, though need not, include the presumption that a collection of nine pictures in a 3 by 3 grid accompany the stated question.
