Meet Dolly the Basset she is 3mths old and came to us yesterday to join her forever home.
She has had a great first night slept for 5hrs and only one miss on the puppy traing mat ( so fingers crossed)
Poppy & Oliver have smothered her with kindness.

She's gorgeous!

Please don't post any more photos of Bassett. Weve had two and have foresworn another dog, so please stop it.

They are usually fabulous, calm, docile dogs. Greedy too but ours never touched any food being held by a toddler. However, a chocolate orange cake made by my mother and left in the middle of the kitchen table had gone, completely, within 5 minutes of everyone leaving the room.

Ours were so dim that they couldn't work out why they couldn't move if they stood on their own ears.

Did anno have one too?

She is gorgeous. If you are not careful I will be adding her to my list of Hattie and Sam.

kitty, I've never had a Bassett, much as I'd have liked one. Why do you ask?

Oh what a cutie, I’d love a dog but for the time being it’s not to be.

Jalima1108 Sun 21-Oct-18 16:53:34

We said no more dogs as well, but I did say to DH the other day …..
But it would not be sensible.
I will have to be content with a virtual cuddle glammamama
Sooo cute!

What a sweet little girl!
Like others, I don't want temptation. After losing our little sweetheart in Jan. I find myself fussing over any dog I meet being walked in the street.

Dolly is delightful and delicious! I`ve not seen a Basset for quite a few years.

glammanana Mon 22-Oct-18 08:45:20

midgey We also have a rescue dog called Poppy who is 5 now she is acting as surragate mum to Dolly at the minute and teaching her doggy manners.
We have always had a Basset in the family and strangely her mums owner was struggling to find homes for the puppies.
