A bit of a non-news story think! The results are much as one might expect and the fact that trust, compassion, kindness and friendship are high on the factors for staying together is hardly what I would call a revelation.

As to the sex - I firmly believe that few people answer these questions entirely honestly - and why should they? - it is no-one else's business but their own.

I could only read the first page as the rest was all woolly but it seemed to me that this guy was talking complete bollocks.

I read it this morning and was amused to see that he was making a fuss about a minority of the people who ,over 55, and who answered the survey did not have sex. The majority who answered did but as usual with statistics he ignored the positives and dwelt on the negatives. He concluded that the minority were having sex with someone other than their life partner and he was pleased. I hope his partner is aware of his glee at the prospect.
