It is designed for people living with osteoarthritis to live well and manage their pain. Download the app here.

These practical, bite-sized tools are drawn from the latest thinking and science in chronic pain management.”

The app is free and available from the Google Play Store. The next Half the Battle cohort kicks off this coming Monday, 10 February. In the meantime, download the app here to meet your group of new found friends.

Half the Battle is offering £20 in Amazon vouchers to the first users who download the app and participate in the programme for a week or more.

MAXBLANK This stuff helps me a lot with the pain and acts fast. Doesn't last very long but worth a try. Good luck

Debs551964 Tue 03-Mar-20 12:01:46

Oh bless you max lack. I'm 54, same as you. Living with chronic pain is should destroying. Osteoarthritis. Three failed spinal surgeries. Top it all now I've just been diagnosed with Vasculitis ??.
I'd give anything a try as fed up with taking so. Many pain meds including morphine

I don’t think the small print was going to mitigate against you getting the voucher Grandmajan but I just felt there was too much potential sharing/not taking responsibility for data for me. I’m sure the Amazon voucher is genuine and you will almost certainly get it. After all, this came through from Gransnet HQ.

GrandmaJan Sun 23-Feb-20 12:37:00

NotSpaghetti I need to read the terms and conditions. That’s my own fault. Thanks, I’ll do that now.

NotSpaghetti Sun 23-Feb-20 11:10:17

Grandmajan, I hope you get your voucher but it’s clear in the T&C and Data Sharing info that they have lots of ways they’ll share the information gathered. I felt quite uncomfortable about it.

GrandmaJan Sun 23-Feb-20 10:17:57

Has anyone received the Amazon voucher? According to the information we’re supposed to get one if we use the app for a week which I have. I hope we haven’t been conned into something here just for our information. Sorry for sounding a bit suspicious.

What is this app supposed to do to help us? Can someone explain? Is it like a 'help forum' for people with similar problems to get together and swap stories?

Hello everyone just joined Gransnet and also this app

GrandmaJan Fri 21-Feb-20 13:30:52

GrandmaAlma I’m also not used to voice check ins and I hate my voice so I’ve not recorded anything. It’s almost certainly an American app.

Oldiegoodie Thu 20-Feb-20 16:34:55

not sure I mind. does the it sound like it is from america?

GrandmaAlma Wed 19-Feb-20 11:59:12

I'm finding it useful but I'm not used to the voice check ins. What do others think?

NotSpaghetti Fri 14-Feb-20 21:00:00

I'm not sure I want my data all over the place. It seems to be sharing it quite a bit.

TheMaggiejane1 Fri 14-Feb-20 11:50:26

Is it too late to join in now?

Truffle1 Wed 12-Feb-20 11:59:48

Hi - have just joined in. I have both RA and OA so really hoping for some help!

CraftyOwl Wed 12-Feb-20 11:48:28

Maxblank Tue 11-Feb-20 23:56:55

I was MacBlank, and yeah, I reckon we were all in the same group?

Maxblank Tue 11-Feb-20 23:55:37

I've removed the app, as after a couple days, it really isn't for me, or I'd guess even for any average UK person.

It such ...... I'll fill this bit in when I'm told to feed back on it

@justinebgransnet
When will the feedback topic start and the survey?

GrandmaJan Mon 10-Feb-20 18:56:13

Having a body racked with osteoarthritis, I'd be more than happy to look at this app.

My fiancee has Rhumatoid Arthritis, and me, well... Hands, shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, and of course spinal (lumber n neck).

I have.plenty of other issues too, but a few of them stem from the spinal osteoarthritis....

Ps
I've had it for over 20 years, and I'm just fifty.
