How to sign Christmas card

Yes don't get hung up on this unnecessarily just sign in the way you usually do to your son but tell the girlfriend she can use your first name when you are talking. That's why we have names ?

"Mum - Granflower" - that covers both of them!

I sign mine Mum/Greenfinch.

My OH always used may parents' first names so anything they addressed to him - birthday cards, etc - would be signed with their names but anything, such as Christmas cards, addressed to both of us was from "Mom & Dad".

Thanks for all your suggestions - think I am going to go with the easiest mum then my name on any personal cards to my sons girlfriend.

We do Mum and Dad if it’s for them both but first names if it’s a card just for the one not related to us by birth. No complaints so far.

I just put Mum inside and the envelope addressed to both anything to the in law personally I use my Christian name

And when it's addressed to DS, DiL and DGD all together, you have to sign with three names!

That would really confuse them Danni - in fact it would confuse ours too.

First name if in any doubt,or the girlfriends mother asks to be called mum..

I would sign it mum

In our family (DH, DS. MIL and I) mostly each send individual cards to the others. DH and I send MIL and DS a joint card (generally written by me) and for MIL I've got round the issue - he calls her mum, but to me she's been Anne since the day we met (she's only 15 years older than me), so just signed "To Anne/Mum" - the obvious answer.

I'm Mum-Jan, or Nan-Jan.. It works.

I simply use initials (M for Mum! etc) for any assignations and put a kiss under each one of the four recipients. Very straightforward and never once had a query or comment.

I used to sign Mum, MIL and Gran. Which led to all four dils calling me Milly. I love it cos it makes me feel special to them cos no one else qualifies to call me that
