Just heard on the radio that they have found the tomb of Philip, one of Jesus' apostles.

How amazing is that!

Those people actually lived and walked on this earth.

Yeah I know! but it is amazing.

Theology is facinating smile

Theology is all made up by old men in frocks... the study of the non-existent...

I thought the discovery of Ötzi the Ice Man's resting place was much more interesting. So there is supposed to have been an apostle called Philip? I must have been told that in my yoof but I'd forgotten. Mind you, I forget the names of characters in fiction all the time.

shysal Mon 19-Mar-12 16:13:25

That post was last July when Jingl had various name changes.grin

Carol Mon 19-Mar-12 16:20:28

Ah! so it was - rest easy Jingl. Didn't realise you had had so many different names! grin

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 16:48:01

Where d'you dig this up from (if you'll pardon the pun)?!

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 16:53:02

Charming people on Gransnet, some of 'em.

Nice way with words.

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 16:54:17

That was, of course, referring to the posts of feetlebaum and bagitha.

bagitha Mon 19-Mar-12 17:15:26

Just like you, jings, me old sweetie! flowers

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 17:16:25

bagitha Mon 19-Mar-12 17:23:35

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 17:52:59

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 17:53:56

I will just say, they would probably thrive there. smile

jeni Mon 19-Mar-12 18:24:30

Ladies ladies! I never saw the original announcement. Being a student of hagiology please tell me more!

bagitha Mon 19-Mar-12 18:30:28

LMAO jings! grin

jeni Mon 19-Mar-12 18:57:50

What does that mean? confused

Butternut Mon 19-Mar-12 19:13:40

Laughed my ass off.

(A relevant comment, baring in mind the previous pronouncements!) grin

wotsamashedupjingl Mon 19-Mar-12 19:19:23

arse, not ass. hmm

Butternut Mon 19-Mar-12 19:23:10

whatsup - yes, your right. That's the English version. I was taught it by my American daughter in law - where it is ass. grin

shysal Mon 19-Mar-12 19:33:57

There is a pop group called LMFAO!

bagitha Mon 19-Mar-12 20:11:52

I say it the American way too (nieces and nephews), and I say it in the present: laughing my ass off. But I won't argue with jings pronunciation.

The other one I really like is ROFL. Do you know that one, jeni?

Rolling of the floor laughing.

Are they in the GN glossary? I've never looked?

jeni Mon 19-Mar-12 20:15:07

No! And you still haven't answered my query? [tapping foot. Arms folded. Irritable expression on face!]
