Message informing me I have had contact with someone who has tested positive omicron and to proceed to this website to purchase a test kit.

Yeah, right!

Yeah, my dad said that he got this too yesterday.
Thanks for sharing

I got it today.
Here is the fake ‘NHS’ website that it links to.
It goes on to ask you for 99p for post and packaging

I had it the other day, I suspect they’ll do more than take 99p from anyone who proceeds with it!!

I got this at the weekend, swiftly followed by the Royal Mail scam

Just had a text saying I had been in close contact with someone who tested positive for Covid. And there was a link for PCR test.

I didn't press it but deleted it. I will do a lateral flow test this morning as I get them for free because of my health.

But wonder was it genuine?

No, it wasn’t.

As there is now, no way of reporting positive tests, how ion earth do people think that this sort of email is genuine??

Can you not still post results on the gov.uk website? I did one a couple of weeks ago and reported it as usual with no problem. You can't post results for tests you have bought though, so maybe they think you'll fall for it because of that.
