by Sue Johnstone. "We all sit looking at him like he's a television set". (her two and a half month old grandson)

I know just what she means! grin

“Sing like no one's listening, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching, and live like its heaven on earth.” Mark Twain

I love this quote and find that as I'm getting older I'm actually a lot less self conscious - it's great! (smile)

"“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful” - William Morris.

It's been on my fridge for years....smile

silver - I have always loved that quote and tried to live by it - although the dancing bit has been a bit of an embarrasment sometimes grin

Love all of the above!

Diva quoted: Dull women have immaculate houses!! I have a fridge magnet with that very quote!

We had a PM with a really innovative turn of phrase when he wanted to be insulting (Paul Keating) One of my favourites was "He's all tip and no iceberg"

My favourite fridge magnet - "I love cooking with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food."

biggran Fri 14-Oct-11 10:06:37

I used to have a key ring with the quote -'A woman's place is in the struggle'

Gally Fri 14-Oct-11 10:33:20

I have a Matt poster prominently placed in my kitchen - picture of two ginormous wine glasses and man saying to another 'I never have more than one glass'. Just about sums me up! wine

"If you want to know what your children are capable of do nothing for them."

Not sure who said this - I could never sign up for it though!!!

Mishap Fri 04-Nov-11 20:49:09

I had a fridge magnet that was aimed at my gang of teenagers and said something along the lines of; "Pack your bags, leave home now while you still know everything!"

Outside my front door read's "A lovely lady and a grumpy old man live here" I wonder if that is why salesmen never seem to knock at our door ?
