Under eye cream

I get that sometimes, but it is itchy. I put a tiny bit of eczema cream on it and it goes virtually overnight. But obviously if it's not eczema, or itchy, you shouldn't try that because it does thin the skin over time.

Thanks nag but I will stick with what I am doing, at Dr next week so if its still the same I will mention it, she might throw me out when I give her the list of problems

This a product I have been using for the last month , it"s superdrug cooling eye roll-on it is supposed to tighten under eye bags . I am quite convinced it has made a passable difference , not quite so saggy

This seems to be a fairly common problem, I get it on and off and also with itching below the eye. I put it down to make up even though I always clean my face after I have worn it. I found that Creme de la Mer worked miracles and tightened the skin but too expensive to have in the cupboard all the time.

What about the crepey look under the eyes ? Any solutions ? - one is never to use a magnifying mirror - but seriously is there anything really good?
I had a face massage last year and the girl told me that Clinique was only meant for young skins - told me to use some thing more like Nivea but I find that too heavy - she also recommended L'Oreal face wash - comes in about three different degrees for dry normal etc and has a rubbery scrubber which fixes onto the bottle - about a fiver and sometimes cheaper in Superdrug. She said to use it 2-3 times a week. Nice to use and does not leave my skin feeling tight. The not to use Clinique came as a bit of a blow as have been using it for about 40 years - gave a new bottle of moisturiser to my granddaughter who thought it was wonderful!
Please post about any miracle creams!!

BEZ I don"t think there are any miracle creams but I do think if you keep your skin , neck and chest well moisturised it looks better . I will say again about that eye roller I was pretty impressed with it , hope I"m not boring the pants off you [yawn]

I always use damp cotton wool when using eye make up remover as I find anything dry makes the skin sore. If I get an exzema patch I use a bit of HC 45. A few years ago I had blepharitis and my doctor said I could never wear eye make up again; can't tell you how miserable that made me but; after using dry eye drops for a while I tried wearing make up again and I was fine [I was using an old style computer screen and it made my eyes red]. He had no idea how miserable he'd made me. I like Simple cleanser and Olay eye cream, but haven't tried many different types.

It is rumoured that top models and actresses use pile cream to tighten skin under their eyes. Has anyone been brave enough to experiment?

I did, several years ago. It didn't make much difference, and the smell really put me off!

The only time I ever bought that stuff it was like a kind of high-grade barrier cream - very goopy - would make under eyes very shiny and sticky. But I think there is a kind that shrinks piles and models use that to tighten up their post party eye bags? C'mon, we must have some experts...?

Can anyone recommend a light eye cream (preferably one that does miracles!) with a good level of sun protection? I use Boot's Time Delay anti-aging restoring eye cream spf 15 which I like (& isn't expensive and lasts a long time) but if there's anything with a higher spf, that would seem sensible in the summer.

I haven't used one for 10 years, I worked shifts/nights, and worried in long run would make them worse. Not bothered anymore as they match all the other faults!

Sorry to change subject but I now have 'over eye bags', not bothered about the look but makes my eyes close a bit and I feel tired then. Optician says they have to close the eye before I can get any help on nhs. Tried lots of creams, expensive too but they have made them more saggy. Does anyone have any suggestions? Trying "Hold eyebrows with fingers and close eyes" excercise.

I would say a gel would be better than creams, fieldwake, as they tend to 'tighten' more. Too rich a cream can make under and over-eye bags worse!
You could always try Anusol....
