I saw this sweatshirt on an Asda poster and just wanted one so came home and ordered blush! I already have a black one with a silver snowflake and don't know whether I shall wear either. The GCs are growing up and are 'too cool' for frivolity so I may be the only daft one at family gatherings.
Have you been tempted to wear a festive top?

Yes, last year festive "elf" jumper with large sequinned red and green elf sewn on the front.
Topped it off with elf ears head-band and pointy elf slippers.
I looked ridiculous/crazy/festive....take your pick.
BUT I won the family party prize as the best dressed Christmas person!

I have two. Start wearing them in December and hardly take them off. I like to get value for money!
Didn't wear one to the hospital appointment though....

I've got one for our works lunch tomorrow.

I would begrudge paying for a garment that was intended to be worn once a year!

I love them. Work in an infant school so are fun to wear. Also have small grandchildren. Would wear my sparkly one anyway. Why not have a bit of fun. Dont want to grow old.

I feel a bit like anno I don’t begrudge spending the money on a sweater but feel guilty spending money on something worn perhaps once or twice.

After sweltering, last year, in a heavy knitted festive jumper I have now got a couple of red T-shirts.One with Rudolph, the other Xmas puds.
Much cheaper and more comfortable.tchsmile

I have 3 or 4 bought for me as presents over the last few Christmases. Fun for the little ones .

I have a Christmas t-shirt and a jumper. So if it gets a bit warm I can just wear the t- shirt.
We are all at DD3s on Christmas Day and the rule is Christmas tops on and she will be suppling Christmas socks. It’s a bit of fun and they can be bought fairly cheaply. Mine will get a couple of other outings as well and then be put away for another year.

Tees (festive ones) are a good idea, I never wear jumpers.

lemongrove Tue 05-Dec-17 17:09:45

Go for it shysal tchgrin

I have one bought recently and cheaply from A.S.D.A wore today and it will have a few more outings this year. Great fun (think it's my age!)

Mine are a bit too tasteful really. A pale green with a dainty holly leaf motif and a red and cream holly knit. I was tempted by a knitted dress with a huge reindeer on it last year, but my size had sold out. Time for a bit of jumper browsing.

I always swore I would never wear a christmas jumper, until this year. I saw one in a charity shop window. It had tiny pugs with christmas hats, and I just knew I would wear it at least once, and I have, to a christmas lunch with friends.

Never worn one and can’t see me starting now why would I buy a jumper to wear once a year I don’t get it !

Friday Wed 06-Dec-17 09:50:24

Hate them!

lilihu Wed 06-Dec-17 09:56:36

Never had one, never want one. I’ve never seen one I could possible want to wear. I really dislike tops with pictures or motifs and these days everywhere indoors is so warm, I don’t know how or why people could wear jumpers.
In my opinion it’s just yet another silly marketing ploy to get people to buy something tacky they don’t need.
Phew, glad I got that off my chest😉

Oldwoman70 Wed 06-Dec-17 10:00:38

The closest I come is a bright red jumper with sparkly bits woven into the fabric!

1moleta3 Wed 06-Dec-17 10:01:03

At least it won't show up the gravy etc. stains.

paperbackbutterfly Wed 06-Dec-17 10:04:36

I wore a hat with a reindeer face and antlers to go walking alpacas the weekend. I don't see why I should act my age smile

Alima Wed 06-Dec-17 10:09:02

That is a lovely bright Christmas jumper Shysal. I must confess to jumper envy. (Asda did you say?).

NotSpaghetti Wed 06-Dec-17 10:11:02

Ha ha! No. Never tempted!

nannabo Wed 06-Dec-17 10:21:26

I made myself a red jumper earlier this year and cos I'm a tight wad I got my granddaughter to put stickers on it so after Christmas it becomes a normal jumper grin

NanaPlenty Wed 06-Dec-17 10:25:01

I'm a bit bah humbug but decided to buy a red long sleeve top with 'team Rudolph' on the front - shall probably where it once every year!
