Good Morning Everyone.
I've been thinking about the clothes that have hung unworn in my wardrobe this year, and the ones that seem to have never been off my back!
I've worn:
T shirts, sweatshirts, Sloppy Joe sweaters, leggings, jogging trousers, jeans, shorts in the summer, sandals, trainers, walking boots, slippers.
I've not worn:
tailored trousers, skirts, shirts, my 'best' coat, heeled shoes, knee length boots.
What about everyone else?

Heels!

I don't think I'll be able to walk in them when I eventually get round to needing them

Omaoma57 Wed 30-Dec-20 11:54:36

Anything usually worn on holiday especially on a cruise....but have also done a huge clear out of clothes that I was keeping for...no idea why! Also haven’t bought much either...

Smart jackets and heels. Not sure I could wear heels after so long and I am wondering about starting to wear jackets to Sainsbury’s!

I've got a couple of smart lightweight coats which I've barely worn this year as it seems to have gone from high summer to cold winter with very little autumn in between. Next year perhaps?

My swimsuit hasn't had an airing this year.

Put heels on for Christmas dinner.

Bit out of practice, shall wear them again to bring in the New Year.

I wore none of my lovely pairs of summer sandals this year as I spent the whole time barefoot or in trainer type plimsoles.

Chewbacca Wed 30-Dec-20 12:19:07

Make up, tights, high heels, formal business suits, formal business blouses/shirts, jewellery, tailored jackets, tailored skirts, formal trousers, evening dresses, summer dresses, those knickers that are supposed to hold all your flabby bits in place, and even, on many occassions.... a bra.

I was lucky to go to a very small wedding in September, so out came the heels and smart dress. It was difficult to choose which lucky dress was getting the outing!
Apart from that it’s been dresses in the warm summer, other than that it’s been tops, jeans and leggings.

Urmstongran Wed 30-Dec-20 12:48:51

I’m wearing Whatever fits over my bigger tummy! So that’s narrowed down my choices quite considerably.
Oh dear.
The very necessary diet starts next week.

Through the summer all I wore was cotton tops and jeggings all the rest are still hanging in my wardrobe along with holiday stuff which goodness knows when will get an airing again.
I have tended to keep to one 3/4 length jacket and a long cardigan all my smart jackets and coats have not seen the light of day since March.

TerriBull Wed 30-Dec-20 12:58:55

I've focused on walking, well life as we've come to know it hasn't presented lots of other opportunities sad so mainly jeans, topped with t shirts back in the summer, it was quite hot! Footwear trainer type shoes, caked in mud of late, or comfortable ankle boots for walking into nearby town. coat at the moment. Indoors it's usually leggings, suitable for yoga among other things!

Lexisgranny Wed 30-Dec-20 13:07:39

What I haven’t worn: Anything that could be classed as smart town wear, evening wear. Smart shoes - my legs haven’t seen tights for many a day!

What I have worn: Anything that could be classed as leisure wear - a very wide range indeed, literally from the sublime to the frankly ridiculous. Ballerina type flat shoes, plimsoles and boots.

I did buy new knickers, and to be truthful I could well have remained in pjs all day, had I not had a sharp word with myself. I put on mascara for the first time in ages on Christmas Day, and found that for some reason my eyelashes object to attention being drawn to them, they are obviously in cahoots with my eyebrows.

T sorts, shorts, flip flops and one summer dress, once. Jeans, t shirts, jumpers, thermals, socks, slippers, Skechers. All from March onwards as I gave up p/t work, before then, skirts, blouses, cardigan, tights and boots.

I’ve been at work for most of the year, and in the past I have worn black trousers and top with a tweed or similar jacket. After lockdown number one, I made a conscious decision never to wear black, but to stick to cheerful colours for the sake of the people I work with. Oddly enough, it cheered my mood, too.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 30-Dec-20 13:37:14

No decent frocks .

Worn loads of relaxed roomy trousers, tops and sweaters.

Teacheranne Wed 30-Dec-20 13:49:22

Mainly worn very casual, comfy clothes with the occasional smarter top when in a Zoom call! I did buy a new floaty tunic to wear on Christmas Day then noticed that it is almost identical to the one I wore last at Christmas last year.

Wore most of my nice summer clothes because I could sit in the garden in them. Winter has degenerated into loose tops and trousers because I'm not going anywhere. Didn't even bother with my sparkly top for Christmas because it was just the four of us. Pinning my hopes on summer weather and the vaccine.

Come on Grandtante - surely you could have appeared in both for Christmas Day? grin

I have only worn jeans, leggings and tops. Everything else in my wardrobe remains unworn. When we are able to socialise again it will feel like a whole new wardrobe awaits me! On the down side I don’t think anything will fit unless I do some serious dieting ?
