I have decided I would like one, whether I need one is irrelevant!! My pc is ageing now, so I would prefer a tablet to a laptop, especially with a keyboard. I have decided against a Ipad and going for a adroid. Any recommendations would be very welcome. I have spent hours looking at various sites, and reading recommendations, and simply haven't a clue which is the best one for me.

I would like to buy one for my daughter and have spent ages looking around but have no idea which to buy. There is a large variation in price but I can't really understand what you get for £400 raher than £170.

That is the problem, and you find that the sales assistants aren't too helpful either.

Looking at various Techi sites!! and the top favourite was Asus Eee Pad Transformer, complete with keyboard, at the price of £439!!!!! The Samsung Galaxy was also in the top three.

Doesn't matter as long as you go on taking them wink

Dell produces a convertible netbook with a touch screen which can be used as a tablet. This sounds like a neat compromise, but can't swear to its reliability.

PS My DS1 tells me that Windows7 doesn't work too well with a touch screen, so rather than investigate the Dell at the moment, it's safer to wait for Windows 8 which is imminent.
