GN badge?

Mention has been made of a GN badge/pin. I wondered if there was any real interest and, if so, whether GNHQ would be up for getting one made? Ideas for design could be sought from Gransnetters and voted upon. Personally I like the idea of a discreet little pin and expect I would be delighted if I saw someone wearing one. smile

Yes, we've had a little discussion about this before and quite a few Gransnetters said they would like to have one, me inclued.

No thank you. smile

Yes, we have mentioned it before and I think it would be great. A small lapel badge would be great. smile

This is a lovely idea...a small, discreet badge would be great.smile

Maybe... I still like the anonymity of GN, though I have put my picture on my profile, so why shouldn't we have a little badge. A 'significant' handshake perhaps... wink

I love the idea of a badge! smile

Not sure about this. If you spotted someone wearing the badge would you assume you'd be welcome to approach her? Or would it simply invite a friendly smile? Seems a bit 'secret society' I think, so consequently it would be 'no thanks' from me.

I would just give a friendly smile, not interested in secret societies. My mum always wore things like her Mothers Union badge with pride and for me it was just like someone displaying an interest or belief. I wore my CND badges with pride and don't remember anyone commenting or trying to engage me in discussion, but they did look at them.

I think its a good idea and surely if one was wearing one it would, in my mind, signify they were happy to say hello to fellow GNs, otherwise why wear it?

I quite like the idea, but then I talk to everyone anyway.smile

I quite like the idea of a little badge but I have an image of hordes of women wearing badges in cities and towns throughout the land (world) who would be happy to give me directions when I get lost. Perhaps I've got the wrong idea entirely but would be happy to give directions round my village although it is hard to get lost here.

Wonderful - ping pong balls - the very thing. Could represent anything but only the select few would understand the meaning. We would give the masons a run for their money with that.
