Did anyone else listen to Desert Island Discs this morning?

I was listening for the second time! I'd heard of this poet but knew little of him. An astonishing journey from his early life to his present wisdom and belief in himself. Uplifting and humbling. I'll be looking for his poetry!

I listened and was amazed at his fortitude. I too was in tears to think that his adoptive family threw him out at 12!

Oh, I switched it off as it was forensic anthropologist Professor Sue Black and there wa a warning that there might be graphic description of torture and its effects. Don't cope well with that sort of thing.
Did I miss something good?

Must say I didn't find dissection that thrilling, very smelly from the formalin used to preserve the body.

No alea I think the DID that is being recommended is the Lemn Sissay one in the OP and available on iPlayer...

...that's why people are saying they "caught up" with it. Not today's, which doesn't sound particularly appealing!

Thanks grannyknot I am sure today's was fascinating and she is no doubt a wonderful person, but I am of a squeamish disposition
