Glad to see this back last night. Really enjoyed it.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 14-Jan-20 09:38:28

Me too! Though I always get house envy when I watch it grin

ginny Tue 14-Jan-20 09:44:12

Me too. I have watched it right from the beginning. Still enjoying it.

Nortsat46 Tue 14-Jan-20 10:31:27

I agree Teetime, I enjoyed it.
Cari I experience a cross between house-envy and house-nosey (if you see what I mean) ?

Anniebach Tue 14-Jan-20 10:40:22

I am watching it again from series 1 on Britbox,

tanith Tue 14-Jan-20 12:57:19

Just caught up and agree really enjoyable.

Jane10 Tue 14-Jan-20 13:06:19

Has Hermione Norris had plastic surgery or was it just make up that made her face look so different?
House envy? Can't say any of the houses 'spoke' to me.

Anniebach Tue 14-Jan-20 13:09:34

24 years older Jane10 ?

Jane10 Tue 14-Jan-20 13:10:55

No. I saw the last series which was filmed last year.

Pudding123 Tue 14-Jan-20 13:14:37

Really enjoyed this last night, the story lines are very believable and fast paced and I live about 10 miles away and have house envy .

Greyduster Tue 14-Jan-20 15:23:41

Always good to see this one back. You kind of feel as if you’ve grown with these characters. Am I the only one who has a bad feeling about Jen’s condition?

Calendargirl Fri 17-Jan-20 09:55:10

Watched this last night on catch up. Thought Jen’s portrayal of a woman who’s had cancer quite moving.
Have never understood what women see in James Nesbitt. Don’t find him very attractive, or particularly nice, in fact rather slimy in this role. Don’t think he would be Karen’s type at all actually.

Dottydots Sat 18-Jan-20 15:14:20

I don't like the storyline of Hermione Norris and James Nesbitt being a couple in the programme. For me it's spoilt things.

Callistemon Sat 18-Jan-20 15:37:51

They just don't gel, do they, Dottydots or Calendargirl.
Definitely not Karen's type

Callistemon Sat 18-Jan-20 15:41:58

Jane10 cheek fillers?

And perhaps eyes?

travelsafar Tue 21-Jan-20 09:11:56

Dottydots I agree with you they just do not go together. He is like an overgrown schoolboy, very immature, thinks all the women love him and tries to be 'down' with the kids all the time. He has scary eyes and i hate the sound of his voice too.

Teetime Tue 21-Jan-20 09:47:50

I agree very unattractive.

Callistemon Tue 21-Jan-20 10:14:49

It won't last.
Karen is eyeing him with quiet exasperation already.

MawB Tue 21-Jan-20 10:16:12

I thought last night’s was really good - especially Jen.

Callistemon Tue 21-Jan-20 10:22:35

Jen was good and last night's episode had some extremely funny moments too.

I wonder how the story will pan out re Adam and the child (now grownup) he and Rachel may have adopted?

Sparkling Tue 28-Jan-20 07:11:03

Although I enjoyed last nights episode, find Hermoine looks bit weird now and she and James don't go together, also could anyone have such a selfish mother as she has, the other one seems dotty too, but I still watch it but can't be compared to when it first started.

Calendargirl Tue 28-Jan-20 07:54:45

Hermione looks quite scary, not sure if it’s her cheeks, eyes or mouth.
Wasn’t Jen’s mother suffering with dementia or something, isn’t that why she lives with them? She seems a lot better now. The other mum, obviously a lot of history there. No doubt we shall see more of that next week.

Gingster Tue 28-Jan-20 08:15:36

Don’t think Many men would look up a child he might have adopted, so long ago. He has a full life with a new partner, teenage son, friends etc so why would he suddenly want to find this girl? A bit unbelievable don’t you think?

Jane43 Tue 28-Jan-20 10:23:17

It is a bit of escapism for me as there are no complicated storylines to follow and no mumbling forcing me to turn on the subtitles. I agree that the story of James and the girl they nearly adopted is unbelievable, they just want to bring in a new young character. I’m not sure I would watch it if it wasn’t for Jen and Pete, they are wonderful characters and great actors.

Calendargirl Tue 28-Jan-20 10:26:16

The past storyline about Adam marrying that wealthy young girl was daft. She wouldn’t have looked at or fancied him in a month of Sundays.
