This started last night on ITV, for three evenings.

Starring Emily Watson, who also starred in Apple Tree Yard.

Bit weird.

I had had enough after 45 minutes so had an early night instead. It did not appear to be going anywhere for me.

BigBertha1 Tue 13-Apr-21 07:32:01

I quite liked it.

Ellianne Tue 13-Apr-21 07:38:31

Oooer a bit harrowing in places. I guess we will find out the intricate relationships.

Pittcity Tue 13-Apr-21 07:52:09

BlueBelle Tue 13-Apr-21 08:34:25

She’s playing an excellent part I think

Gingster Tue 13-Apr-21 08:38:53

I enjoyed it and am intrigued to see what happens. Is it on every night this week?

Ellianne Tue 13-Apr-21 08:40:45

It's good to have something a bit different from the same old, same old type dramas.
I'm sure it is back tonight Gingster.

Three nights only.

MissChateline Tue 13-Apr-21 09:06:35

I fell asleep!

Katie59 Tue 13-Apr-21 09:06:36

Gave up after 30 mins, not my thing at all, score 2 out of 10

NannyJan53 Tue 13-Apr-21 09:09:54

I gave up after 20 minutes, Perhaps I should have given it a bit longer, but it didn't appeal.

trisher Tue 13-Apr-21 09:15:48

I thought it was intriguing. Two women as main characters, both excellent actors. The transformation of the mother to the imprisoned woman is a great piece of acting. Not sure about the jacket and if she would have been permitted to take all those things into a secure unit. But that's nothing compared with some of the things that have happened in dramas recently.

Bridie22 Tue 13-Apr-21 09:31:25

I enjoyed it, intriguing!

Kim19 Tue 13-Apr-21 09:41:54

I managed about 40 minutes then moved on. Much too depressing and sometimes even harrowing for me. I found something lighter elsewhere.

Ellianne Wed 14-Apr-21 09:51:28

Last one tonight.
So did she drive the car over the bridge to spite both her husband and the lover?
And what is the psychiatrist going to do about the lorry driver?

BigBertha1 Wed 14-Apr-21 10:08:40

Well I couldn't stop watching this last night. I thought the acting was amazing. I was gripped by the portrayal of grief without recourse to overacting in fact the acting was so subtle by the psychiatrist. I was very moved by the whole episode it tou9ched something very deep for me.

henetha Wed 14-Apr-21 10:20:18

Two brilliant actresses, is what I thought. It's quite gripping
and I'm enjoying it.

grandmajet Wed 14-Apr-21 10:27:35

My daughter, who is a psychiatrist, was horrified at the whole thing. No, you wouldn’t be able to take all your personal stuff into a secure unit. You are so used to being insulted that it wouldn’t produce a reaction at all. You would not be alone with a patient like that, etc, etc. She stopped watching very quickly.

Mind you, I think people do often dislike how their profession is portrayed on tv and in films, just for dramatic effect.

trisher Wed 14-Apr-21 13:36:06

I think the whole thing is probably a bit unlikely, but I do think it is an intriguing story, the acting is amazing, and it makes a change from the usual cop story.

ninathenana Wed 14-Apr-21 14:30:44

The bridge she drove off is very near me.
I had high hopes for this but was disappointed although the acting wad brilliant
