I must be getting old ?

The cricket was good though!

Yes I am, just saw Paolo Nutini doing Acid Eyes from his new album. Excellent. I prefer Liam to Noel, but giving him a go at the moment.

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 21:07:04

Did you watch Noel Gallagher re-visiting Rockfield Studios?
(I do love Kingsley ?)

Casdon Sat 25-Jun-22 21:13:54

No, I wish I had. I know Liam recorded his latest album which came out a few weeks ago there. Some amazing music came from Rockfield over the years.

Just watchingNoel, enjoyed Paulo Nutini. In think if I went to Glastonbury I would enjoy the acoustics tent. If I say awake long enough looking forward to Paul McCartney.

Watching Noel Gallagher. Enjoyed Crowded House yesterday.

Hope Macca doesn't stuff it up. His voice can be an embarrassing squeak these days.

Rod Stewart at the Platty Joobs concert was bad enough.

Wonderwall was (apparently) a wall at Rockfield Studios ?

Very disappointed so far

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 22:09:44

The crowd seems happy!
Follow that Paul McCartney!

merlotgran Sat 25-Jun-22 22:13:30

Noel Gallagher was great.

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 22:18:06

Yes (surprisingly!!)

grannyrebel7 Sat 25-Jun-22 22:22:18

Yes looking forward to seeing Macca! Didn't like Noel singing his new stuff, but loved all the Oasis classics. Also looking forward to seeing Diana Ross tomorrow. Love Glasto and was lucky enough to attend in 1983.

I was just going to ask how people were finding it this year. I usually discover a new favourite band from watching Glastonbury but, thus far that hasn’t happened. I thought First Aid Kit were brilliant yesterday and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were good ( she’s beginning to look how he used to look a long time ago). I found Billie Eilish’s songs very boring but she certainly held the crowd. I think Pet Shop Boys are going to be good tomorrow. I’m never going to stop missing John Peel.

Nothing there for me. Attended The Eagles concert last Monday in Liverpool...now that was fantastic...great musicians.

I saw a documentary about Liam a while back and he became my favourite Gallagher. If you’d’ve told me that years ago I wouldn’t have believed it!

merlotgran Sat 25-Jun-22 22:41:53

Have the Eagles ever done Glasto?

nadateturbe Sat 25-Jun-22 22:45:27

I don't watch much of G. However I just watched Noel Gallagher and sang along. I had forgotten how much fun live concerts can be.
Like Merlotgran I'm hoping Paul McCartney sounds alright. But I'm too tired to stay up. I hope it's available on iplayer.
Will have a look at Pet Shop Boys.

It's great to see people out enjoying themselves.

Just saw this. Great!

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 22:48:25

Paul's looking slim and fit - can't believe he's 80!

Soroptimum Sat 25-Jun-22 22:49:19

Macca seems to be doing ok! He’s older than most of us ?

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 22:50:33

I've just put it on.
Paul is very listenable smile

Callistemon21 Sat 25-Jun-22 22:50:52

Just realised it's nearly 60 years since I first saw the Beatles ?
They were a supporting act

MissAdventure Sat 25-Jun-22 22:54:12

smile
His voice is still good.
