I was just thinking about you today, phoenix, and wondering how things were going for you. You're trying so very hard - you deserve so much better.

How dare they!!? You know you were too good for it but how dare they not recognise their good fortune in having you.

You didn't put up a big poster telling them what you really thought along the same lines as your post on here did you? That could explain it. But if not, do it now!

Sometimes being sacked can feel like being let out of prison - enjoy! I am sure that something more suited to your skills will turn up eventually - don't give up hope.

At least you weren't there long and can just ignore it on any CV. Take for a few days until the hurt/anger/things you wish you had said feelings go away.

Evening all, and thanks for the responses.

Can't say I'm gutted/disappointed/sad (delete where not applicable) as I had already decided to give notice, but being sacked is a bit of a blow to ones self esteem.

In all fairness, the tooth defecient sales manager was very nice about it, the order had come from the parks general manager, who I (and other members of the team) had doubts about. He was the main one who only seemed to give negative feedback.

I must have been pretty bad for him to decide that no sales rep was better than having me, although I think that they may have someone lined up to come from another park on a temporary basis. Anyway, I will be paid up until the 15th August, plus the commisssion on the 1 sale that I did make. (around £70k, my bit being £1,250, before tax & NI.)

Onward and upward, as they say.

phoenix - Actually I am very pleased for you, as it was clearly completely miserable !
I know this leaves you out of a job, and that's not good, but as you say, onward and upward!
