Adam Hargreaves was born in 1963. At the age of seven, he asked his father what a tickle looked like. The resulting children’s book, Mr Tickle, became the first title in the incredible Mr Men series. Following his father’s sudden death in 1988, Adam took the helm of the Mr Men and Little Miss empire and remains involved in creating new characters and new titles in the series. Inspired by his daughter, in whom he saw "a mischievous girl who is clever, brave and wants to do whatever she feels like," Adam has created the unforgettable Molly Mischief – his first venture outside the world of the Mr Men and Little Misses. Molly will star in a series of adventures starting with My Perfect Pet. Aside from his children’s books, Adam enjoys painting and exhibiting landscapes of Sussex, where he lives. He has two grown-up children.
