Chocolate cup cake recipe from Suki
Ingredients3 cups self-raising flour
3/4 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
2 tsp bicarb
1 cup milk
1 cup oil
Handy HintEssential to leave in tins until cold before moving. They come up quite high in the middle so for a sandwich you would have to slice off the top, but they are very very light and lovely! Depending on the size of your cup (I use a mug) you could get a whole sandwich cake and lots of little ones.
Method1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
2. Add wet ingredients.
3, Add 1 cup hot water.
4. Beat well.
5. Pour into lined and greased tins/paper cases.
6. Put the oven on Gas mark 5/200C.
7. For cakes, cook for 40-45 mins, for cupcakes 25 mins.
