MethodFry sliced mushrooms in a pan, add chicken, add a bit of wine if needed if too dry. Add soft cheese with herbs and make a thick mixture.Take off heat and add chopped spring onion and extra grated Cheddar to taste. In the meanwhile take the uncooked croissant triangles out of the "can", unroll them and seperate where indicated. Position them in a circle on a baking sheet, with the short ends overlapping in the inner circle. There will be a gap in the centre. Spread your mixture in a line in the centre of the croissant dough, allowing enough dough at the top of the ring to fold over the chicken mixture. Fold the dough over the chicken mixture and tuck the ends under, still leaving a gap in the centre. You should now have a very smart looking ring pie. Brush with beaten egg and milk mixture and bake at about 200 degrees till nicely browned and done! |
