Last night I went up to bed at 0.45am, went into the back bedroom to open the curtains which hubby had left closed earlier. I was turning away from the window when I realised that something wasn`t right. On looking out again, I realised that the trailer was missing, it`s always chained up and padlocked, but it was gone. The wheelie bin had been moved out of the yard as well and left in the alley, to fascillitate easier removal of the trailer, obviously. Actually, it isn`t ours, it belongs to our daughter, specially made for transporting her mobility scooter, as it has a strong ramp on the back. I woke hubby up to tell him, he went to look out the window,...........then got back into bed, saying that nothing could be done about it, and I didn`t particularly want him wandering the streets late at night anyway, as there was a murder in town a few days ago, and the named wanted man is still at large.
This morning I got up just before 6, just as it was coming light, and went out in my nightie and dressing gown to look along the alley at the back of our row of houses, and found it abandoned halfway along, probably because it has a flat tyre and was hard to pull along, it is a very heavy trailer. We now have to secure it again before tonight, but how? They cut through the fairly thick chain that it was padlocked up with.
To think that London, or anywhere else for that matter, does not belong to any one demographic
