nursery advice

I was a bit shocked when my DD came back from the Nursery where she left GS, 20 months, for the first time , for one hour. They told her to sneak out while he was palying, and not say goodbye! Surely, this will only cause him anxiety, when he realised she has gone? My DD always explain where she goes when she leaves him, and he might cry a bit, but is soon back to playing. She wasn't sure what to do, so did as they asked but will say good bye to him next time, no matter what they say. I agree with her!

Yes, phoenix it does make sense. Yound children want to think we are in the place they left us waiting for them to return. My grandsons, who are 3, always check out where people (and my dog) are when I go to see them - they obviously think everyone stays in the same place waiting until they can see them again.

Carol glad it did make sense! It always worked with DS1, even on an overnight stay. If only he knew that we off partying! Admittedly it wasn't that often, but I would cram in what I could. (I was 18 and 3 weeks when I married ex dh, and had DS1 1 week after my 20th birthday)
