Getting out of hand?

We seem to have duplication and triplication – possibly more – of at least two threads. Do try to get a grip. smile

Who are you addressing, absent? All of us? confused

The trouble is, once the multiplication has been noticed, there seems to be no way of combining threads - as with the 'Today I've been mostly' where we had two Volume 5s for a while. HQ just said one would have to 'fade away...'

Ah, now, you see, that's where my request for showing the date that the thread was started without having to go into the thread might help!

specki4eyes Wed 23-May-12 22:30:23

Maybe I should post here - cos sometimes it feels like my posts end the thread. Boo hoo poor little me.smile

Nonsense speckie - I usually feel I am kiss of death to a thread and it sinks without trace!
PS what is this thread about?

Elegran Thu 24-May-12 00:27:50

Think it is about not knowing what the thread is about and whether the subject has been duplicated.

Lots of stuff about crescent moon, jubilee and Olympic emoticons and loads of bits about the Olympics and the torch. It's just that if the same subject is being covered in more than one thread, it's even easier than usual to lose track of what's going on and even what one has posted oneself. It's just a bit frustrating. smile

It is indeed. Now there are two threads entitled 'Help me to Understand' - presumably because the OP was hedging her bets and put one in the Grandparenting section and one in Ask a Gran!

Olympically I agree absent! There are torches all over the place!! smile

absentgrana Thu 24-May-12 11:08:49

Gransnet's very own relay eGJ?

glammanana Thu 24-May-12 12:13:54

anagram you are probably right in your thoughts ^^ and she has put the thread on both sections, but when do we keep to the topic really ? its just like sitting around a table and all sorts of other topic's crop up when we get together don't they ? grin

eGJ Thu 24-May-12 17:10:34

Been out all day absent ; relay sounds good! smile Where shall we start?

Anne58 Thu 24-May-12 21:12:39

Oh heavens, 2 "help me to understand" threads ?? I have probably just posted on the wrong one.
