I think that's a trademark name and the hole in the top biscuit is round or heart-shaped. However, that type of cut-out biscuit has been around for a long time. I wrote a recipe in one of my books for hearts and diamonds made with a redcurrant jelly and curd cheese filling and clubs and spades made with a cocoa and syrup filling.
