I bet you'd be under a lot of pressure to actually buy that 'medical mattress' (or an inferior version of it) for an exorbitant price if you agreed to test it, NanKate!

Last night there was a programme on TV about how to avoid those charity calls that keep coming back. The main thing seemed to be to say clearly "Do not phone me again" Anything less than that and your name is marked as a soft touch, worth another shot.

I got a phone call at lunch time today asking if I wanted to try out a medical mattress whatever that is. confused

a. I don't want to be interrupted when I am watching Bargain Hunt
b. Is it for people with dodgy legs, backs etc ?
c. I'm not old enough for a medical mattress. grin
d. I wanted to tell him to p**** off, but I said 'thank you for the opportunity' and put the phone down.
