YODEL!

It seems to me that Yodel delivery men have very little intelligence and i cringe when I'm due for a delivery from them

The latest 'mishap' involved me standing gobsmacked at the window as the driver lobbed a parcel (clearly wrapped with FRAGILE tape all over) from his van window, across the pavement and down the steps to my front door.

Needless to say the enclosed wine glasses didn't survive.....and my complaint has got nowhere so far.

The previous delivery man didn't even attempt to ring the bell/knock on the door and the card through the door said I wasn't in - I had spent that day painting the hall so of course I'd have heard the bell ring/ a knock on the door.

I feel your pain, phoenix. We've had a lot of deliveries lately due to the building work and so far Yodel and Hermes have scored Nil Points.

Hermes took over a week to deliver a cooker hood. The reason they gave was 'failed delivery' - meaning nobody at home.....Total lie because there has been somebody here ALL the time, in fact it will be awfully nice for us to go somewhere together when it's all over!!

I am also currently having a bust up with Timpsons who have the little kiosks in Tesco car parks selling watch batteries amongst other things.

They take dry cleaning so I took in our king-size winter tog duvet seven weeks ago. It was sent off to wherever they clean them but the van driver has taken it to the wrong place and they are still trying to locate it

It's not too difficult a job to drive around delivering things is it?

I have to say my local Hermes chap is very good.

When I was on the phone to Yodel, they said that their drivers are self employed, and only get paid for deliveries that they actually make!

Surely even more reason to actually make a reasonable attempt to deliver the item!

Don't get me started on Yodel! I mean it don't. . We spent one Christmas in our home glued to the window for four days. "The driver tried to deliver and no one was at home" "The customer has asked for the delivery to be resheduled* (No we *** hadn't) "There is no such delivery address" (It's where we live!!)

Someone get me a I'm all riled up now

Yodel and Hermes delivery drivers' training course:

1) spit on parcel
2) lob it over the fence, preferably at wrong address

I think that my parcel (which I really want/need) could end up going to and fro the depot! (Which by the way is Newton Abbot)

During my phone conversation with Yodel, they didn't seem to understand that I could not guarantee that my neighbours would be in!

They seem to operate a "3 strikes and you're out" policy, i.e. they "attempt" to deliver 3 times, then after that it's down to you to collect it from the depot.

I also ordered few items on line and got the message that I will receive my parcel from Yodel with in two days. I waited for the time by not leaving my place. Two days passed still not received my item. I called Yodel Customer care www.fixithere.net/yodel-contact-number/ and asked them for delay.Their reply was that delivery person two times visited my house, but I was not available. What a Rubbish.

In defence!
I ordered my Nespresso coffee pods on Tuesday evening, not paying the extra for next day delivery. Yodel delivered them this morning, rang the bell and handed over my precious caffeine fix!
That is service!

My Here's courier is a gem, always polite and handles the parcels well.

So soon we are going to get our deliveries within half an hour by drone do you reckon it will just drop them in the garden or will the drone knock on the door

Not sure Im getting this, you went out? Why did you go out when you knew you were expecting a delivery? Did you state that your neighbour would accept the parcel on your behalf?
