Our oven stopped working yesterday. The first two repair companies I contacted could not come out until next week, but the third said he could call today at 10am.
He eventually arrived at 11:20, but replacing the burnt-out element only took him about a quarter of an hour, and the oven now works well. Sorted, I thought.
But after he had left, I noticed that he had stuck labels on our fridge, freezer, washing machine and hob (but not the oven bizarrely) saying "If this appliance ever needs servicing, please contact <<his business name and phone number>>". And to add insult to injury, when I tried to remove the labels I discovered they were the type that will not peel off cleanly, but instead break up leaving partial label and a sticky residue behind.
I am tempted to send him an invoice for my time and effort in removing his advertising from my kitchen. What does anyone else think? Am I being unreasonable?
