AIBU to be annoyed by certain posters putting their political views on threads that were not intended for that.

Brilliant alliteration Imperfect!

Greyduster Tue 10-Oct-17 17:43:41

Just picturing another Daily Mail headline ... Bickering biddies blight best boy's media beginnings ... Whoever Tom is, l hope he has survived his baptism ... grin

NanaandGrampy Tue 10-Oct-17 17:18:53

How did the Daily Mail miss THIS thread ?? [ smile]

Christinefrance Tue 10-Oct-17 17:05:10

And now we have politics and jbf on this thread I give up.angry

Baggs Tue 10-Oct-17 15:46:27

What vampire said.

But no-one can say which thread(s) they mean because that would be against the rules.

It's just a wee rant to get something off someone's chest.

OurKid1 Tue 10-Oct-17 15:03:36

Where's Tom when you need him?

vampirequeen Tue 10-Oct-17 14:46:08

What thread was being talked about before it went off on a tangent regarding young/middle aged/old Tom? If we're on a thread about a thread I need to know what thread it is before I can comment.

merlotgran Tue 10-Oct-17 14:43:55

I think he's jingl's DGS.

grin

pollyperkins Tue 10-Oct-17 14:41:30

I've no idea what anyone is talking about on this thread. I'd better crawl back under my stone.

durhamjen Tue 10-Oct-17 13:19:45

Or he'll change his name.

Greyduster Tue 10-Oct-17 13:18:12

By now, with all the speculative attention he has been getting on here from a bunch of grans, he will probably have expired from embarrassment and it will be RIP Tom!!

durhamjen Tue 10-Oct-17 12:51:46

He's getting the London living wage, which is a lot more than many internships.

grannyactivist Tue 10-Oct-17 12:48:46

Ahem - I wonder if this is Tom? Are they paying you danger money Tom? And do they provide a tin hat or do you bring in your own?

If Tom is a 16 year old perhaps he will be able to sort out the local forums as they are still not working!! Also anybody else having a problem when returning to a thread, it goes to the last page you saved but not to the last post saved?

trisher Tue 10-Oct-17 11:20:44

If he's 16 goodness knows what sort of damage reading posts on GN will do to his development. He may need long term therapy

POGS Tue 10-Oct-17 11:13:51

Perhaps Tom is short for Tomasina!

"People with this name have a deep inner desire to lead, organize, supervise, and to achieve status, power and wealth.
They tend to be idealistic, highly immaginative, intuitive, and spiritual. They seek after spiritual truth and often find it. They tend to be visionary and may inspire others. " Hmm.

Or ofcourse it could be somebody called Tom.

Welcome Tom.

FarNorth Tue 10-Oct-17 10:28:46

We have no idea who operates GNHQ, and who might suddenly emerge from the shadows to chastise, ban, or just comment. Exciting, isn't it!

FarNorth Tue 10-Oct-17 10:27:21

Anniebach, whatever are you talking about?

harrigran Tue 10-Oct-17 10:20:44

Bet he is the work experience 16 year old who is sorting out the IT and he is working with his mum.
I see him as looking like Will from W1A.

trisher Tue 10-Oct-17 09:47:38

We know nothing! Except he /she/? dipped in yesterday. Maybe we should have a Who's who at GNHQ. Or maybe they prefer to stay in the shadows background

Auntieflo Tue 10-Oct-17 09:28:31

I seem to have missed the arrival of Tom, so apologies if I am jumping in with both feet. Who He?? Or do we even know if he is a "he" . Thomasina ???

lemongrove Tue 10-Oct-17 09:20:21

Now, why are we assuming that Tom is young and has a Gran? He could be any age at all.?

NanaandGrampy Tue 10-Oct-17 09:07:15

Now there's a question - would you like to work for GNHQ Charley ? smile

durhamjen Mon 09-Oct-17 22:34:30

Grant Shapps is getting very annoyed about abuse from right wingers.
