I don't understand either why Pips/Pippa is referred to throughout by the female pronoun. If he/she is 50/50 then both pronouns should be used equally for him/her. He/she is seeking equality of female/male in her/his life, after all.

Oh dear, I’m finding this all very confusing. My liberal side says let him be what he wants them be, but the other side of me says he’s just a X-dresser.
