I volunteer for local Colcbester charities .... including raising money for them .... because I can see how and where the money is spent.

I regularly donate to MSF and occasionally to ShelterBox, both of which do essential service in both natural and man-made disasters.

I generally don't donate to any of the multi national charities, preferring local hospices, Macmillan and animal shelters to donate to. I have a monthly direct debit to them and I haven't changed that.

But there are some huge, money wasting, bad apples.

The good they do far, far outweighs these few bad apples.

I still continue with the 3 charities we support - only one is an international charity (Action Aid) and so far I have not heard bad things about it.

Now the Furor about the misdemeanours of some charity workers has died down, have you continued to make charitable donations or have you been put of ever donating again ?
