Scrolling down a thread, I found an ad at the bottom promoting "make up tips for old ladies" ! shock

How very dare they! And shame on GNHQ for allowing it!

icanhandthemback Mon 11-Jun-18 20:10:47

Do you think we should just ignore the tips until we feel like we are "old ladies." After all, if the cap doesn't fit, don't wear it. wink

lemongrove Mon 11-Jun-18 20:13:10

Should it have read ‘older ladies’ I wonder?
Somebody needs a slap on the wrist.?

Jalima1108 Mon 11-Jun-18 20:36:47

shock

Hope you reported it phoenix

I’m 73. I’m an old lady. I know a 95 year old and he’s an old man. My 22 year old granddaughter is a young woman and the 6 year old is a little girl.
What’s wrong with accuracy?

Jalima1108 Mon 11-Jun-18 20:41:23

speak for yourself watermeadow
grin

Blinko Mon 11-Jun-18 20:51:36

I am 71. I am not an old lady.... So it must occur somewhere between 71 and 73 than. No?

Charleygirl Mon 11-Jun-18 21:28:31

No Blinko I will be 75 later this year, it is only a number- I am not old.

gillybob Mon 11-Jun-18 21:31:43

I saw that phoenix ! At first I though I had misread it and it said “.....for older ladies” but no, it definitely said “for old ladies” cheeky oiks !

gillybob Mon 11-Jun-18 21:32:10

Ha ha ha it’s been changed !

LynneB59 Mon 11-Jun-18 21:32:54

At 59, I'm not old, but sometimes feel it.

mcem Mon 11-Jun-18 21:55:58

Apart from these understandable comments, this raises the scam issue!
I am fairly sure that this 'offer' asks only for postage costs (thereby accessing bank details).
Soon after, your supply for month 2 arrives costing £40- £50.
It's then very difficult to extricate yourself from the deal. The small print which ties you in is very hard to find - no easy 'unsubscribe' option.
Please don't be tempted.
The ad is still visible to me and I'm reporting it.

Rosina Mon 11-Jun-18 22:15:17

I've read about this kind of scam with beauty products, mcem. You are absolutely right - getting out of it is not easy and even if you extricate yourself almost at once you will find you have paid a chunk of money for either nothing at all or tiny sample sizes.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Mon 11-Jun-18 22:16:59

We can't see the ad! Someone send us a screenshot!

phoenix Mon 11-Jun-18 22:24:12

Cari, gillybob says it's been changed!

PamelaJ1 Tue 12-Jun-18 06:17:07

So, let’s make it easier to entice us in by letting them know just how we would like to be described.

I am getting an advert for socks to relieve pain in “seniors” I am not in pain and aren’t a senior?

PamelaJ1 Tue 12-Jun-18 07:15:16

I’ve been “senior” all my life. Or do I mean superior ??

aggie Tue 12-Jun-18 07:16:42

I have an advertisement about funeral costs. Very upsetting

NanKate Tue 12-Jun-18 07:17:29

I've seen the Ad and want to say very rude words to the advertisers, what a cheek ☹️

harrigran Tue 12-Jun-18 07:26:52

I had just shown this advert to DH when it disappeared, it is obviously some computer hacker that can enter and leave forums without HQ being aware. If you see it do not respond to it.

kittylester Tue 12-Jun-18 07:30:07

I've got the Seniors Sock ad and one for an avocado water bottle. Maybe senior socks will help me move more and then I'll need to keep my fluids up!

Panache Tue 12-Jun-18 08:15:33

Will kill indoor odor and mould mean the end way for old folk too.......................I will have "them" know I am not old and I do not have odor or mould anywhere on my person.

Bah humbug.

Us ladies are only as old as we feel............and in my case that is decidedly "A spring chick!!!"

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 12-Jun-18 09:10:31

Yup with you all the way!

Not seen these ads yet but will have a word and see what we can do

Waterloosunset Tue 12-Jun-18 09:31:06

Took a pic. It’s under the Beauty section bottom right.
