Talktalk ripping us off

My TalkTalk bill arrived today by email. It seemed higher than normal so I went into my account to investigate why.

Apparently I am now being charged for two services which were free when I signed up with them. They are Anonymous Caller Reject and Call Diversion, neither of which I have any need for but let them go on as they were part of my package and might be useful at some point.

It took me the best part of an hour on their "chat" feature to finally get the charges totally reversed and the services removed.

If you don't contact them to have these now chargeable services removed you will end up paying £24 a year more.

Do check your bill. I will be cancelling my contract as soon as I can. A company who operates like that is not one I wish to give my money to.

Am I Being Unreasonable?

No you're not being unreasonable at all. I've had fun and games with this firm and was without my phone working for 6 months and I didn't even get an apology let alone a decrease in bills.
I'm hoping my daughter has sorted them out too, charging her £60 a month for a " package "that she doesn't use because she's always at work.
They'll certainly fleece you if you allow them to. Unfortunately there's little to choose between any of the companies they're all on the make !
