I think she is, she is so passionate , knowledgeable & informed.
If this isn’t shown or taught in all schools yet , let’s hope that it will be
She is certainly an inspiring example for & to us all.
Well done young lady .

Sadly Couldn’t copy the video to here

lemongrove Sat 28-Sep-19 18:57:32

Is this thread still rumbling on!

Bridgeit Sat 28-Sep-19 19:57:38

It is now, Lemongrove what a strange comment to make.
You must be looking / reading it & then taking the trouble to post a completely pointless statement/ question ,what motivates someone , well you specifically to do that ? ?

lemongrove Sat 28-Sep-19 21:05:08

Not strange at all, just can’t believe there is anything else to say on this subject ( and by the last few posts it seems that I’m right.)

Bridgeit Sat 28-Sep-19 21:12:36

The self assessment is no recommendation

Pantglas2 Sat 28-Sep-19 21:17:20

Why would someone voluntarily exile themselves from a thread that had run its course and return just over a day later with not a lot to add?

Bridgeit Sat 28-Sep-19 21:22:26

To answer Lemongrove’s question, it seemed like the polite thing to do. But on reflection, no point

lemongrove Sat 28-Sep-19 21:22:47

It’s no good being touchy if other posters disagree with your view of GT.
The thread has run out of steam.

Bridgeit Sat 28-Sep-19 21:24:06

But thankyou Pantglas2, for taking an interest in how & why we post on GN

grapefruitpip Sat 28-Sep-19 21:24:47

I think she is quite an interesting and sincere person.

Bridgeit Sat 28-Sep-19 21:26:15

Another huge assumption Lemongrove, who judges levels of touch feely as you call it.. ...

lemongrove Sat 28-Sep-19 21:29:03

will leave you to it !

Bridgeit Sat 28-Sep-19 21:31:18

Definitely ,I agree Grapefruitpip.
Which is why I was so disappointed to read her described on here as a Werdio.
I guess I was naively shocked at some Grandmothers comments about a young girl.
But I’m definitely done with this now, too much Hubble, bubble, toil & trouble for me.

One has only to look at the photos to be assured of the legitimacy of my post and these are two comments following the programme.

And who is it doing the stirring Bridgeit ? hmm

How many more times do you want to bring my “weirdo” comment up ? Eh ? Have I not apologised enough for you ? Naive? Don’t make me laugh.

And yes GabriellaG I totally agree with that comment.

Most of us are trying to do our bit without preaching on the world stage and the sheer hypocrisy that goes with it .

I agree with you MawB.
On all thet you have commented on.
Couldn`t have said it better myself.

Fantastically interesting post * timetogo2016*. We need more like that.

God save the deep thinkers.

I wonder how Great is travelling g around the Americas.
How will she travel home?
The yacht she used to take her to New York has since gone back to Europe, most of the crew flew home.
Apparently Greta doesn't use aeroplanes, so will she have to charter another yacht to take her home?

I do not think much of her, but I live in one of her target locations of Alberta Canada, we get these kinds of socialites coming here almost once a year thinking they will Pooh Pooh our oil and gas businesses and they make a big deal about showing up, showing off and never making a positive comment, (or a negative once they come see) then they vanish. I lump her in with Leo DeCaprio (who came here to film Revenant and lost his mind when one of our warming winds blew in and melted the snow, he cried climate change and looked like a fool because these winds are an ancient weather phenom that happens very few places in the world, only other place with similarities is Denver Colorado, these winds have been happening so long even the name says so... Chinook is a Native American name for Snow Eater) anyways, No I think she is as much of a mouth piece as Leo, Jane Fonda and the likes. You got issues with the climate... bring solutions, go visit the real offenders and spout off you dream there, India, Russia, Asia et all. Nope not a fan... but maybe I am bitter cause we are fed up here with the glory seekers thinking they hit the armpit of the world without even knowing what we in fact do for the environment. Too much assuming. Rant over.
