So the teacher that was hounded , ostracised, lost her job, for allegedly kicking, no trial yet, and social media is not the law, a horse. Yet a highly paid footballer who kicked his cat around, asking his brother to film it laughing, in front of his kids, still has his job, still allowed to play, and no sign of a trial. Well double standards are looking very true as I write this. He can afford to lose his job, probably live quite happily on his proceeds from the game.

To think that Kurt Zouma should be banned from keeping animals after abusing his cat?
(291 Posts)Just that really.
I know someone who used to be a (hobby) cat breeder and had trouble with local kids who poisoned/killed a couple of their cats.
They involved the rspca who, because they couldn't 'prove exactly' which youth had done it, prosecuted them for not keeping their cats safe (despite them being on their property, in a locked pen and behind 2 locked gates).
The rspca seized this person's cats, went to court 9 months later, asked the court to make the breeder pay boarding fees for 14 cats for 9 months and to give them a ban. Fortunately the boarding fees weren't upheld but a fine and a ban for 5yrs was imposed.
This was a respectable breeder who followed all legislation and GCCF (cat version of Kennel Club) rules and did absolutely nothing wrong.
When I look at the abuse that Zouma committed, then compare it with this breeder, imo he deserves, at the very least, the same punishment handed down to the breeder.
The fact that he is a famous footballer should not mean that he or his pets should be treated any differently to the rest of us. His pets deserve to be treated with respect (the same as yours and mine) and he deserves to be punished in exactly the same way as anyone else would be.

West Ham should hang their head in shame over this. Zouma should have been suspended at the very least while investigations were being carried out. Allowing him to carry on regardless sends a message that kicking his cat is no big deal really and West Ham think that of they keep their head down it will all blow over. The club made the decision they did because Zouma is one of their best players and at present they are in 5th place in the Premier League and they don't want to slip down to mid-table where they usually sit. If they keep their current form then this season could open some very lucrative doors for them. Bottom line is points, league position and money are more important to West Ham than kicking a cat. Baroness Brady & Co should be ashamed.

The teacher has pleaded not guilty at her trial which I think is happening this week.

Totally agree Sarnia I have messaged Baroness Brady, and West Ham FC along with their official supporters club, no replies from any of them,
I am absolutely disgusted and disappointed at their decision to carry on playing this monster, position in the league is all that matters to the shareholders
I apologise, my technical skills are inadequate so no link. The headline of an article by Jamie Phillips for Mailonline is ‘Sick copycat craze ‘kick the cat club’ film themselves kicking felines in horrific imitation of footballer’.
Dawn Stacey says she’s having to pay £2000 in vet bills after her cat Murphy suffered a heammirage after becoming victim of an attack
Im speechless
Me too. Despicable.
If Westham weren't so morally bankrupt, and had suspended the moron immediately, then there would have been no glorifying what he did.
I despair at people's lack of humanity.
Please accept apologies for my misspelling

I hope they are caught and sentenced as Zouma should be.
Of course, the silence from those in charge around this famous thug means that copycat thugs will think it's fine to do the same.
Shame on West Ham, shame on Brady and shame on the other team members too.
You've brought football into yet more disgrace if it wasn't low enough already.

No need to apologise, it was clear what you meant and you were posting about something very upsetting.?

I have just looked up the article and am sickened by the awful things these thugs do to animals presumably for amusement! Doesn’t bear thinking about. Words fail me.

Yes I read that too.
I expect she rues the video that was made, then.
That won't help her not guilty plea.
Just watched the apprentice which I recorded, every time I see Karen Brady I see red!!
