To go to sleep on a mattress on the floor at 15:42 on a Monday afternoon?

This isn't very well written. I am not having a lie down because there is blood on the mattress. I am having a lie down as I am mentally exhausted, and I'm on the mattress on the floor because of the blood on my mattress. I also forgot to mention that the blood on the mattress has been sponged and the mattress is still wet from being cleaned.

YANBU. What you need is and a hug.

After your mattress dries, if it is still stained, I found a superb item on Amazon which removes stains like that one by just spraying, leaving and allowing it to dry. Your mattress will look like new.

Oh FH you need a rest for a couple of hours and then a nice easy evening, with something light and tasty for supper.

That's an old wives tale Callistemon. You are supposed to pinch the nose just under the bridge.

It's what they did to me at nursery when I had a nosebleed, I can still remember it all these years later.

Actually I think I remember an old teacher doing it when I first started teaching. That was in the late 60s.

Why a mattress on the floor, wouldn't stretching out on the sofa be more comfortable?

Years ago, I used to suffer nosebleeds on a regular basis.
The hospital cauterised (chemically) my nose. It was very painful, while it lasted, (fully paid up member of the Coward Club) but have had no more trouble for the last 40 years or more. So it was worth the short term pain.
Have you spoken to your GP, with a view to a referral or treatment?
Hope that you now feel less stressed, and that there have been no repeats.
