British wool Olympic Cushion project

This is a project using british wool with the intention of giving a present of a cushion to participating athletes attending and taking part in the Olympic Games in London. You can make up your own design, download a free pattern from www.woolsack.org or www.blacker yarns.co.uk, or knit a cushion fron any pattern you wish. for details go to either of these sites and you will get all the information you require. This is a great project for anyone who would like to be involved in the games but can't be there in person.

Thanx nipsmum ...found some good free patterns ...may give this a go ...have already been involved with 'quilts 4 London'.
(But not so sure about the 2nd site you mention.)

hi Jacey, if you have any queries the staff at woolsack.com have been very helpful to me. I sent a cushion at the weekend and got a nice email to tell me it had arrived. I sent it unstuffed as i didn't have the required wool stuffing to meet the spscifications required for this project. You can also contact them and may be able to get wool free.
