Could you phone the shop and ask them to put it aside for you when you next go there? Hopefully someone here will have the mag and offer to photocopy and send it to you. How frustrating!

bags if you have an old copy of WW look for a phone no for subscriptions or it might be circulation. If you ring them they will send you the copy you need.
I know this because last winter I saw a lovely pattern for a lacy top in MiL's copy, decided to knit it and then mislaid the magazine. They sent me a new copy within a couple of days. (I'm still knitting the top....)
I looked online for you but couldn't find a number, however you might be able to email WW or IPC which they are part of.

Good idea, jane. If I can't get a copy at our local village shop tomorrow, I'll try that. Actually, I did that once before, many years ago. Had cut out and kept a pattern for a fairisle jumper for several years before I got round to knitting the garment. Then I realised some of the pattern was missing. I wrote and asked if they could send me the whole thing and they did.

Also, I have a very old copy og the mag as it happens. My sister gave it to me because it contains a photo of the child of one of her friends wearing a snowman jumper (also a WW pattern) that I'd knitted for DD1 back in the mid-eighties. DD2 wore it when DD1 grew out of it, then all four of my sister's children wore it in turn, and she had handed it on to this friend. So in the late nineties my snowman jumper was still going strong and onto its seventh wearer!

I have just looked at the wool requirements and it is a very long list. Unfortunately I don't normally knit in DK wool; so have very few scraps. I am perhaps thinking that this would work out to be a very expensive project. Also not sure my local wool shop would carry all the required wool. Nothing is simple is it?

Yes, I've realised that too. However, I can use up leftovers for my temari wrapping, so they won't be wasted. Once upon a time, I would have had enough odd scraps for the small coloured bits of knitting. As it is, I've ordered the white fluffy yarn that is recommended and then much cheaper stuff than recommended for the ears and other bits. Charity shops sometimes have odd balls.

I could send some of my cheapo DK coloured yarns when they arrive, if you'd like nanapug.

That is so kind of you Bags but I think I will order it all as I have worked out that it will make nice presents for a few little ones if I make a few of them. Just need to get ordering, but thank you so much x
